GST....kekekek... :P

I believe all of us know that College West is embarking on the GST/Greet, Smile & Thank culture championed and driven by School of Business.

I have observed that many classes have not embraced the GST culture, yet. It will take some time to see that happening. It will take some time to change the students, but we will need to drive the message into the students' head.

I remember when BIT started in 2001, at the beginning actually the students stood up and greet the Lecturers, although there was no GST culture at that time. But after a while, after benchmarking themselves with students from other courses, they stopped doing that.

So, we will need your help as follows:
:D -> Do remind to stand up and greet all Lecturers before lessons commence. Thank the Lecturers when the lessons end.
:D -> Do remind to greet and smile to anyone in campus (be it Section Head, Course Manager, Director, Admin Clerk, parents or visitors).
:D -> class to stand up and greet you before lessons commence and thank you when lessons end.

What happen to KP?

Was I too strict or is MR Lim too lenient?
In less 3 weeks, I have received several calls from lecturers who taught you asking me for advise and suggestions...WHAT's WENT WRONG?

1) Adhering to school rules:
You are already entitled to have 3 kind of polo tees, 4 standard Uniforms and 2 skirts, 2 pants color to choose to wear everyday...
Make me see NO MORE reasons why you have to resort to wear your 'OWN' polo tees and WORST; JEANS to school.
Please understand this point, this is a school, SCHOOL HAS RULES! I have told all lecturers, if anyone is found not adhering to school rules, THEY ARE NOT HESTITATE TO "INVITE" you "OUT" of the class, next "INVITING" your parents to explain.

2) Attendance:
Some may guess that I'm setting a joke about "VISITING" you if you attendance drops, sorry I have been monitoring and SO DISAPPOINTED to say...though some improved greatly and "the usual ones" are getting worst! and don't bother to MC at all?
I'm giving those 2 weeks to "get back" to usual. (U know who U r)

Start TAPPING

There is a promotion to encourage and educate school students (with e-stamp concession pass) to tap in and tap out when taking bus services. Many students tend not to do so since the e-stamp allows unlimited rides. This distorts our capacity and loading statistics.

SBS are aiming to build up a more accurate database of the travelling patterns of our student population so that they can plan resources more efficiently to meet the demand. This will then enhance the overall experience and safety of the students.

Starting from today for the next 12 weeks, with every tap in and tap out, students will earn an e-token. They can use these e-tokens to bid for our weekly auction items on our website, www.sbstransit.com.sg, or participate in our Grand Lucky Draw at the end of the promotion period. No cash is needed or transacted.

Students can bid for fantastic items like iPod nano, SingTel mobile phone vouchers and concessionary card e-stamps. In addition, they can also bid for 2 Bonus items, the Apple Mac mini and Apple iBook added on during the promotion period.

On top of that, at the end of the promotion period, they can participate in our Grand Lucky Draw and win our Grand Prize of an Apple iMac worth $2,500.
