Friday, June 09, 2006 The main thread of the message is to develop a global mindset that is more adaptable and open to changes while accepting diversity. Through these initiatives, our students are given exposure to the different cultures, practices and lifestyles as well as values of other nations. The aim is to enable them to bridge the gap and cooperate for mutual benefit, to lay the groundwork for future networking. They need to learn to impact lives and put others first. The act of giving and the spirit of volunteerism are desirable outcomes. The 4 categories are Student Exchange, Industrial Attachment, Community Service and Cultural and Sports programmes. Some sample slogans are Dare to Dream, Walk the Talk, Serve by Doing, Never Say Die, Can Do, Celebrating Differences. There are cash prizes to be won but the actual amount is to be confirmed.
